Field Notes / Software projects

Today I stopped calling this a blog

Once the articles were written, I wanted a place for the work between them: small discoveries, unfinished experiments and the next thing to try.

The first version of Chuck.cafe had articles and an introduction. You could read a story, return to the homepage and be done. I wanted a little more of the work in progress to remain visible.

A long article can explain a project. A diary entry can keep the parts still being adjusted: something that finally worked, or a problem that remains open. A useful thought does not always need to become a full tutorial.

My curiosity about technology is still there, but I want it to do something concrete. The cost and the effort need to make sense, too. I would like this to become a place people with similar concerns can keep exploring.

English is becoming the main language here, with Chinese versions retained. I have not published YouTube videos yet. For now, I am preparing the stories, process notes and written material that future videos can build on.
