On the morning of September 28, I tried text chat with Alex from the office. It could retrieve some information, and the response was reasonably quick. I thought most of the next changes would be to the interface.
That afternoon I found the voice input was going to the wrong conversation. The task reached the home computer, but it had not landed in the Alex conversation I intended to use.
An assistant needs to know what we worked on yesterday and which file we are continuing. In another window, that background was missing. Even when an answer started appearing, I had to work out whether it had picked up the right job.
I asked Codex to keep working on the fixed conversation and task routing. Moving between text and voice should let me continue the same work. I didn’t want to introduce the task all over again.
That day’s record contained both a usable text-chat path and a voice entry point still causing trouble. Keeping both in the diary gave me a clear place to resume the next round.
